Fights and Bikes Brings Boxing back to Georgia
NFC Promotions and Boswell Promotions have put together “Fights and Bikes”, an outdoor combat sports event at Falcons Fury Harley Davidson in Conyers, GA on Saturday, July 18. There are18 fights scheduled, split evenly across boxing and MMA contests. The MMA bouts will take place inside of a cage, and the boxing bouts will take place inside of a boxing ring. Tickets for this event are available at nfcfighting.com. This is the first boxing card in Georgia since February.
The boxing card features three six-round bouts, and six four-round bouts. For the four round bouts:
Atlanta native Kijuan Edwards, 0-1, has his second professional bout against Jonathan Smith, 2-1 (1) of South Bend, IN, in a lightweight contest.
In heavyweight action, Dacarree Scott, of Decatur, GA, takes his undefeated 1-0 (1) record against Richard Tucker, 0-1, of Toledo, OH. Scott had his professional debut in February of this year at the last boxing card in Georgia.
Undefeated super welterweight from Georgia, Jose Ulloa, 5-0 (4), takes on Jessi Hackett, 1-2 (1), of Lynchburg, VA.
In a featherweight contest, Javon Campbell, of Raleigh NC, 1-1 faces DeShawn Kennedy of Michigan, 0-1. Both fighters are coming off of a close decision losses in their most recent contest.
5'11" featherweight Dominique Crowder of Hyde Park NY, 4-0 (3), takes on southpaw Frank Boston of San Antonio, 1-2 (0). Boston has never been knocked out.
Georgia Super featherweight Elijah Shabazz, 3-0 (2). is coming off of two consective first-round knockout victories against Matthew Knauss of Fernandia Beach, FL, 0-2.
In the three six-round bouts:
Undefeated New Orleans Light Heayweight Sean Hemphill, 7-0 (4) takes on Gulfport's Gevonte Davis, 4-9-1 (2).
Marietta's undefeated lightweight Deonte Brown, 9-0 (6) takes on New Mexico's Joey Saenz, 3-1-1 (1).
In the Super Welterweight boxing main event, Jesus Almonte, 8-2-2 (6) takes on Leslie Klekotta, 3-5 (2) of Conroe Texas.
All of the MMA bouts on the NFC 125 card are scheduled for three, three minute rounds, with the exception of the main event, which is scheduled for three, five minute rounds. :
